The boiler will have a water level gauge to control the water level inside the boiler, also known as the boiler level gauge. The boiler water level gauge shall be cleaned regularly, at least once per shift, to prevent water and steam containing impurities and salts from affecting the use of the water level gauge. Turn the secondary valve of the water level gauge, open the drain valve of the water level gauge, drain the water, close the drain valve, and wash with water or steam.

The reason why the boiler water level gauge needs to be cleaned is that during the operation of the boiler, water or steam containing impurities and salts enters the water level gauge, water connection pipe and glass tube, and these impurities and salts attach to the water level gauge. If the joint is on the inner wall of the steam water connection pipe and glass pipe, the sectional area of the steam water connection pipe will gradually decrease over time, and the water level gauge will not accurately reflect the boiler water level.

If the boiler water level gauge is not cleaned for a long time, it will not only affect the safety of the boiler, but also cause incorrect water level, resulting in water shortage or full water accidents. In order to ensure the reliable operation of the water level gauge during operation, the boiler water level gauge shall be cleaned at least once per shift of boiler operation.
